What’s been happening

The Base had a very exciting 2016.

We organised a trip to JJs Play Centre, including a spot of sumo wrestling! In April, Serco apprentices repainted The Base to fulfill an element of their community work award. Several volunteers and children helped with bag packing at Tesco to raise money for new outdoor play equipment, including a go kart. We raised £475 in just 3 hours!

For the first time, we held a ticketed Year 6 Leavers’ party, involving a red carpet arrival, a dress-up photo booth, ‘mocktails’, chocolate fountain, games and a disco. The turnout was incredible, with 100 children attending.
