The BaseWelcome to The Base.

 The Base is an entirely voluntary run Youth Centre with over 350 young people from all walks of life attending each week. We have been in operation since 1988, and now in 2010 we organize 6 sessions, 5 nights a week. The ages of the young people attending range from 7 years  to 18 years. We also have a Sexual Health Clinic that runs on a Thursday night 5.30-700pm before the Base. The Youth Centre can also be hired for parties.

We are completely self sufficient with no outside funding of any sort, apart from a small grant from Hook Parish Council to help with our part time Manager/Admin salary. We won the title of Youth Club of the Year for Youth Clubs Hampshire and Isle of Wight and this year we were awarded a Cat Mark which is the stamp of quality given by young people.
